Cookie Policy

Last updated: 12 September 2026

This page explains which cookies and similar local-storage entries Plaithy uses, why we use them and how you can control them. For the legal basis and your rights see the Privacy Policy.

1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. It can be a session cookie (deleted when you close the tab) or a persistent cookie (kept for a defined lifetime). We also use the closely related browser APIs localStorage and sessionStorage; the same disclosure applies.

2. Categories

  • Essential — required for the site to work (e.g. login session, the cookie-banner choice). These are set on the basis of legitimate interest / contract performance and cannot be turned off.
  • Analytics — pseudonymous measurement that helps us understand which features are useful. Set only after your explicit consent.
  • Marketing — used to measure the effectiveness of our own ads (Meta pixel). Set only after your explicit consent. The Meta pixel is currently not in use; even once activated it will not load without your consent.
  • Functional (only with consent) — storage entries of the chat and voice assistant on the start page. They are created only once you open the assistant and agree to its use (Privacy Policy, section 13).

4. Managing your choice

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time by clicking the Cookie Settings link (on our start page and in the footer of every other page). The change takes effect immediately — without consent no marketing scripts are loaded, any already loaded are removed, and no further measurement is collected.

You can also clear cookies for this site directly in your browser. The major browsers offer instructions:
